- Introduction to the public health activities concerned with the protection and care of the community; survey of the major specialties and populations of interest in the public health field; considers the interaction of personal health and public health; and exploration of ethical issues related to public health.

Final Grades & Academic Standing Resources for Advisors
- How can an academic advisor view final grade information and academic standing for their advisees in Advisor Reports(MyAdvisees)?
- Access your advisees information through Academic Reports (MyAdvisees) by going to MyUNIverse -- Reporting Tab - Under My Workspaces
Utilize these reports to view information about your assigned advisees under the Academic Standing/Grades *Assigned* folder
Reminder: Spring 2026 = 2253 / Summer 2026 = 2261 / Fall 2026= 2262
- Where can an individual student or academic advisor see information about undergraduate academic standing in the Student Information System (SIS)/Campus Solutions?
- Students will receive a communication from the Office of the Registrar: Students on academic alert or probation - email to student's UNI account | Students on academic suspension - both email and letter through the mail.
- Student or academic advisors can see a student's academic standing:
- Under the "Holds" area on the right side of the individual's Student Center tab or under the Term Summary in the Academics tab in the semester the standing status was placed
In this example, the student was placed on Academic Probation in the Spring 2024 semester (2233)

End of Semester Reminders
- Grades are due by 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.
- Grades will be released to students at 1:00 p.m. and can be viewed from "Grades" in the dropdown menu on the individual's Student Center.
- Academic standing will be calculated and posted 1-2 business days after this deadline with students notified who are on academic alert, probation, or suspension.
Is Your Student Questioning their Current Major?
- Help them Pivot with Purpose by referring them to the Office of Academic Advising. Advisors offer personalized support to help students explore:
- Major, minor, and certificate options | Reasons for changing majors (e.g., lack of interest, career goals, academic challenges) | Self-assessments like FOCUS 2 or Strong Inventory | Goal-setting and decision-making strategies
- Encourage students to schedule an appointment or complete the Academic Discuss Your Major Options Request Form.
