Summer/Fall 2026 Registration
- Remaining Advance Registration by Date/Classification
- Today (Monday, April 6, 2026) - Sophomores | Friday, April 10, 2026 - Freshman | Wednesday, April 15, 2026 - Unclassified
- Reminder: A student's registration date and time is based upon the number of earned credit hours for the student at the time the appointments are created.
- To view an individual’s specific registration date/time, click the “Details” link in the Enrollment Dates box in the Student Center through MyUNIverse and select the appropriate term (Summer 2026 or Fall 2026).

Guide to Special Course Sections
- Don't forget to be aware of these special sections when working with your advisees:
- 6X (e.g. 60, 61 or 62) - Online semester/term based course
- For the Fall and Spring semesters these sections are reserved exclusively for fully online degree program students. Do not approve a student for a section 6X unless they are pursuing an entirely online program.
- For the Summer terms these sections are open to all students - for students in both in-person and entirely online programs.
- For assistance, contact Online & Distance Education (ODE) at 319-273-7206 or online@uni.edu. Use this link to identify specific members of the ODE team for assistance.
- How to find section 6X classes in the Search for Classes: From the Delivery Mode drop down, select "Online Semester Based" and identify the courses with 6X sections
- 8X (e.g. 80, 81 or 82) - First half semester (8 week) courses
- How to find first half semester classes in the Search for Classes: From the Session drop down, select "First Half-Semester"
- 9X (e.g. 90, 91, or 92) - Second half semester (8 week) courses
- How to find second half semester classes in the Search for Classes: From the Session drop down, select "Second Half-Semester"
- SPOC - Self-paced online course
- Registration is completed through Online & Distance Education and requires a separate enrollment request outside of the student information system.
- Tuition for self-paced online courses is in addition to full-time, on-campus rates and financial aid is not available to students who are enrolled in self-paced online courses.

How to Change User Default Term in SIS
- To set a default term and avoid having to select a new term repeatedly, you can configure this option in Campus Solutions User Defaults by following the "Navigation" and "Update" steps provided below.
- Reminder: Summer 2026 = 2261 and Fall 2026 = 2262

Mary Ann Bolton Award
- Please share with your students! The Mary Ann Bolton Undergraduate Research Award recognizes and celebrates students who have completed undergraduate research.
- Qualifications:
- Those who have conducted research using library materials and are approved by a UNI faculty member or mentor can qualify.
- Full-time students from any major must have completed a credit-bearing course or faculty-mentored project.
- Projects must also be original work completed no earlier than the spring of 2025.
- Each student is eligible to win only one award, and previous applicants are welcome to apply again.
- Application: Includes a personal essay of 800-1200 words, a research proposal, a letter of support from a faculty member, and a copy of all project requirements.
- Three winners will be chosen: first place receives $1,200, and the runners-up each receive $800.
- Applications are due by Friday, April 17, 2026. Apply online today on the Rod Library website or use this link.

- Help them Pivot with Purpose by referring them to the Office of Academic Advising. Advisors offer personalized support to help students explore:
- Major, minor, and certificate options | Reasons for changing majors (e.g., lack of interest, career goals, academic challenges) | Self-assessments like FOCUS 2 or Strong Inventory | Goal-setting and decision-making strategies
- Encourage students to schedule an appointment or complete the Academic Discuss Your Major Options Request Form.
