Registration TIQs (Tips, Information, and Questions)
- How to find UNIFI Classes by Learning Area in the Search for Classes (see image screenshot below for additional guidance)
- To search by Learning Area instead of by each course subject, in the Search for Classes:
- Select the appropriate term (i.e. Spring 2025)
- To search for UNIFI classes by Learning Area, leave the subject line blank.
- From the Course Attribute drop down, select "UNIFI Foundational Inquiry"
- From the Course Attribute Value drop down, select the appropriate Learning Area

- Click the Search button
- View this 1 min video on Searching for UNIFI Classes for a walkthrough (audibly and visually) on how to conduct his search.
- To search by Learning Area instead of by each course subject, in the Search for Classes:
- How to find Winter Classes in the Search for Classes (see image screenshot below for additional guidance)
- In the Search for Classes:
- Select the appropriate term (i.e. Spring 2025)
- To search for all Winter classes, leave the subject line blank.
- From the Course Attribute drop down, select "Winter Class" or from the Session drop down, select "Winter"
- You do not need to enter information on both of these drop downs to complete the search
- Click the Search button
- Winter classes will be identified by sections "40DJ-LEC Winter" or "6D-LEC Winter" (for study abroad/international travel courses)
- In the Search for Classes:
- Remember these special sections...
- 8X (e.g. 80, 81 or 82) - First half semester (8 week) courses
- How to find first half semester classes in the Search for Classes: From the Session drop down, select "First Half-Semster"
- 9X (e.g. 90, 91, or 92) - Second half semester (8 week) courses
- How to find second half semester classes in the Search for Classes: From the Session drop down, select "Second Half-Semster"
- SPOC - Self-paced online course
- Enrollment is completed through Online & Distance Education and requires a separate application
- Tuition for self-paced online courses is in addition to full-time, on-campus rates.
- Financial aid is not available to students who are enrolled in self-paced online courses.
- How to find SPOC classes in the Search for Classes: From the Delivery Mode drop down, select "Online Guided Indep. Study"
- 8X (e.g. 80, 81 or 82) - First half semester (8 week) courses

International Education Week
- Every year educational institutions, businesses, communities, and organizations come together to celebrate the work being done to increase internationalization, cross-cultural exchange, and breed awareness in their communities. UNI is joining the International Education Week celebration from November 18 through November 22, 2024.
- At UNI International Education Week is a pivotal opportunity to celebrate the university’s international community and to showcase the university’s efforts in creating a more globally-minded student body.
- With many events, programs, and activities, UNI is proud to partner with offices, departments, and community groups across the Cedar Valley to offer an engaging week of cultural education and fun. The Office of International Engagement (OIE) leads the celebration, bringing together students, faculty, staff, and the community - including for a Taste of Culture on November 19, 2024 from 4:30- 6:30 p.m. - to reflect on the importance of international education and the interconnectedness of today’s world.
