- Advisor KNOW HOW: Dropping a Class
- What is a Drop? Removing one or multiple courses from a semester schedule but remaining in at least one (1) course.
- Note: The term withdrawal is used at UNI when removing ALL courses from a student's schedule for a semester.
- To drop a course, a student must complete a Drop form and submit it to the Office of the Registrar at 115 Gilchrist Hall or registrar@uni.edu
- Students are encouraged to talk with their academic advisor and the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships prior to dropping any course.
- Last day to drop a full semester course: Tuesday, November 7, 2023 by 4:30 p.m.
- Note: Drop forms submitted by email must be sent from the student's UNI email address. Forms from personal email addresses will not be accepted.

- Directory of Referral Resources
- The Directory of Referral Resources - a guide for campus-wide faculty and staff in referring students to the appropriate individual for questions and discussion - is now complete on the Academic Advisor Portal and includes these sections:
- Academic Programs provides references to individuals within academic colleges/departments with connection to majors, minors, or certificates and/or their focus emphasis or research areas.
- Student Success & Persistence provides referrals to resources within the areas of:
- Academic Planning | Academic Performance | Basic Student Needs | Identity & Student Populations | Experiential Learning & Postgraduate Life | Paying for College | Additional Personal and Success Support

- The Directory of Referral Resources - a guide for campus-wide faculty and staff in referring students to the appropriate individual for questions and discussion - is now complete on the Academic Advisor Portal and includes these sections:
