News/Notes for Undergraduate Academic Advisors: Course Transfer Evaluation | TRIO/Student Support Services @ UNI | Office of Academic Advising Open House
Course Transfer Evaluation
- A student (or an advisor) can easily see how courses transfer into UNI by using UNI's Transfer “Plan It” Equivalencies page.
- Simply select the institution where they have taken or plan to take classes, then search for the courses to see how they transfer.
- Through this tool, a student or advisor can find the UNI course equivalent and determine whether it fulfills a UNIFI requirement.
- If a college does not appear in the list of institutions or a specific course cannot be located, please contact the Office of Admissions at admissions@uni.edu or 319-273-2281 for assistance.
- If a student is looking to meet a major requirement, we suggest for:
- Current UNI students: After identifying course(s), the student should connect with their academic advisor to confirm whether they will apply toward your major requirements.
- Prospective UNI students from a community college: May find the Transfer Plans of Study especially helpful, as they list recommended courses based on your major and your community college.
