Academic Dates to Note
  • See details and academic and schedule adjustment deadlines at the Office of the Registrar Calendar Dates to Observe.
    • Registration Dates for Summer/Fall 2025 by Classification: Today - April 16, 2025 - Freshman | April 16, 2025 - Unclassified
  • Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at 4:30 pm.
    • Full Semester: Last Date to Drop with a "W" (instead of a "F")
      • The Drop Form is used for dropping courses once the term has begun. It is available to submit in person (with a photo ID) or via email.
      • Send the completed form (with signatures, only if required) to registrar@uni.edu from the student's UNI email.
        • All forms received from personal (non-UNI) emails will not be accepted.
    • Full Semester: Last Date to Change To or From Credit/No Credit
      • Use the Credit/No Credit Request form for an undergraduate student who would like to change a course from a graded basis to a credit/no credit basis.
SOC SCI 2020 - Summer 2025
  • SOC SCI 2020 Social Science Statistics - Section 61 | May 4 week | Online | UNIFI Engage: Quantitative Reasoning
    • Instructor: Chris Larimer
    • This course satisfies the intro to quantitative methods requirement for CSBS majors where applicable (student should check with their academic advisor to verify).
    • This course provides an introduction to a variety of statistical methods used in quantitative data analysis particularly in the social sciences.
  • Please note that any student may register for a section 6X course during the summer sessions only.
Special Course Sections
  • Don't forget to be aware of these special sections when working with your advisees:
    • 6X (e.g. 60, 61 or 62) - Online semester/term based course
      • For the Fall and Spring semesters these sections are exclusively reserved for students enrolled in fully online degree programs.  Do not approve any student for a section 6X unless they are pursuing an entirely online program.
      • For the Summer terms these sections are open to all students - for students in both in-person and entirely online programs.
      • How to find section 6X classes in the Search for Classes: From the Delivery Mode drop down, select "Online Semester Based" and identify the courses with 6X sections
    • 8X (e.g. 80, 81 or 82) - First half semester (8 week) courses
      • How to find first half semester classes in the Search for Classes:  From the Session drop down, select "First Half-Semester"
    • 9X (e.g. 90, 91, or 92) - Second half semester (8 week) courses
      • How to find second half semester classes in the Search for Classes:  From the Session drop down, select "Second Half-Semester"
    • SPOC - Self-paced online course
      • Enrollment is completed through Online & Distance Education and requires a separate application.
      • Tuition for self-paced online courses is in addition to full-time, on-campus rates.
      • Financial aid is not available to students who are enrolled in self-paced online courses.
      • How to find SPOC classes in the Search for Classes:  From the Delivery Mode drop down, select "Online Guided Indep. Study"

    • Co-hosted by Heather Asmus (Office of Undergraduate Studies) and David Marchesani (Office of Academic Advising)
  • While we will provide an overview of the relevant policy information, our primary aim is to share and discuss insights, strategies, and resources that academic advisors can utilize when working with students.
  • This session will include presentation and discussion on the following topics:
    • Understanding the undergraduate academic standing policy
    • Accessing academic standing information for students
    • Readmission after suspension
    • Motivating care and providing support for at-risk students
      • Student success and persistence/retention
      • Academic challenges and development
      • Personal challenges and development
      • Resources and connections for both student and academic advisor
