Academic Dates to Note
  • See details and academic and schedule adjustment deadlines at the Office of the Registrar Calendar Dates to Observe.
    • Today (Monday, February 3, 2025) by 4:30 p.m.
      • Tuition & fees for semester based on load
      • Full Semester: Last day to add a course for credit.  Approved Academic Student Request required after this date.
      • Full Semester: Last day to drop a course with No Report
        • The Drop Form is used for dropping courses once the term has begun and can be submitted in person (with a photo ID) or via email.
        • A completed form (with signatures if required) sent to registrar@uni.edu must be from the student's UNI email.  
          • All forms received from a personal (non-UNI) email will not be accepted.
      • Full Semester: Last day to change to or from Audit
        • NOTE: Students can only make one change per course to/from a non-graded basis.  Once a change has been made the student cannot again change that course to/from non-graded credit. Please complete the online form to request this change.

           

RSVP for AI Literacy for Academic Advising

  • The Undergraduate Advising Council to the Provost (UAC) will be hosting the Advisor KNOW HOW session AI Literacy for Academic Advising with Wilson M. Rojas, Assistant Director for Emerging and Innovative Technologies.
    • Session #1: Thursday, February 13, 2025  |  Session #2: Thursday, February 27, 2025  | 8:30 - 10:00 a.m.
    • Location: ScholarSpace Room 301
  • Please RSVP for your attendance at one or both sessions by Tuesday, February 11, 2025.
  • For the interactive aspects with Copilot integrated into these sessions, we ask that you bring a laptop. However, attendance without a laptop is welcome.
  • Session #1: Dive into the world of artificial intelligence (AI) and boost your AI literacy!
    • Discover how AI works | Identify inequalities and biases | Explore ethical issues | Master creating effective prompts (specifically for advisor communications) | Learn when to use AI effectively
  • Session #2: Harness the power of AI for data analysis and actionable insights!
    • Experiment with different prompting techniques
    • Utilize data sets in AI for:
      • Analysis | Identifying themes/trends | Comparison | Summarization | Presentation

         

Record Analysts in the Office of the Registrar
  • Record analysts in the Office of the Registrar analyze individual student records to determine what courses are needed based upon the majors and minors the student has declared in order to ensure that the student meets the eligibility requirements for graduation.
  • Student or academic advisors who have questions, comments, or concerns about academic progress and/or graduation should contact their respective record analyst using these lists:
  • Communications to record analysts should include the student's UNI ID number and the term intending to graduate (degree requirements completed).
