Academic Dates to Note

- Registration Dates for Winter/Spring 2026 by Classification: Today - November 13, 2025 - Sophomores| November 14 - 19, 2025 Freshman | November 19, 2025 - Unclassified
- Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at 4:30 pm.
- Full Semester: Last Date to Drop with a "W" (instead of a "F")
- The Drop Form is used for dropping courses once the term has begun. It is available to submit in person (with a photo ID) or via email.
- Send the completed form (with signatures, only if required) to registrar@uni.edu from the student's UNI email.
- All forms received from personal (non-UNI) emails will not be accepted.
- Full Semester: Last Date to Change To or From Credit/No Credit
- Use the Credit/No Credit Request form for an undergraduate student who would like to change a course from a graded basis to a credit/no credit basis.
- Full Semester: Last Date to Drop with a "W" (instead of a "F")
Registration Tips, Information & Questions (TIQs)
- Can a student register for a course previously completed?
- Enrolling in a course previously completed is not prevented through the registration system.
- In Step 3: View Results page in the registration system, the student will receive the message below with the indication that the enrollment transaction was successful
- Note: For financial aid purposes, federal regulations limit the number of times a student may repeat a course and receive financial aid for that course. See this link from the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships for detailed information.
- What error messages can a student receive in the registration system...and what should they do?
- There is a hold on this record, preventing the add from being processed. You must remove the hold to complete your registration.
- Action step: The student should check the "Holds" tab in their Student Center to determine appropriate steps or who to contact to remove the hold.
- The requested enrollment add was not processed. The enrollment limit for the class has been reached, and there is no room on the waitlist.
- Action step: The section attempting to register for is closed. The student should choose another section and/or course to register for.
- Requirements have not been met to enroll in the specified class. The enrollment transaction was not processed.
- Action step: Course requirements (prerequisites) for enrollment have not been met for the course. The student should review the detailed course information to determine what requirements must be met to enroll in the section.
- A scheduling conflict exists with a currently enrolled class.
- Action step: Two or more course sections attempting to be registered in overlap in time. The student should search for alternative course sections to enroll in or communicate with the instructor(s) about permission for the overlap.
- Consent is needed to enroll in the class. The add transaction was not processed.
- Action step: The student should request permission to enroll from the department or instructor as directed through the detailed course information for the class

UNIV 3159 Exploring Generative AI Technologies
- Online Semester Based via eLearning/Zoom | Class #: 74257 | 3 credits | Wilson Rojas
- Prerequisite: Junior standing
- This course explores several Generative AI Technologies, including text generation, audio, images, videos, and open-source models. Emphasis is placed on ethical considerations, prompt design, and the exploration of current features of various systems.
- Through hands-on activities, students will experience various tools and reflect on their personal and professional applications.

- Encourage students to schedule an appointment or complete the Academic Discuss Your Major Options Request Form.

- As a faculty or staff member, you can complete this referral form to start the outreach to a student considering changing their major.
