Walk-In Hours - Wilson College of Business (WLSN)
- The Office for Professional Distinction (OPD) in the Wilson College of Business will provide walk-in appointments for students during the first week of classes at the following times:
- Monday, August 25 - Friday, August 29 | 9AM -12PM and 1PM - 4PM

- If a student or advisor cannot add an open business course to a student's schedule due to an error message, please do not override/enroll them in the class. Send them to the OPD for assistance.
- Students can also email our office directly with questions at opd@uni.edu. This message will be routed to an advisor for a response as quickly as possible.

Drop-In Hours - College of Education (COE)
- The advising team in the College of Education Advising & Teacher Education Success (CATS) Office will provide walk-in appointments for students during the first week of classes at the following times:
- Monday, August 25 - Friday, August 29 | 8:30AM-12:00PM and 1:00PM-4:00PM

- These appointments will be first come, first served and will be geared towards registration & Fall class related questions.
- Long Term Plan appointments will not be offered during week 1 drop-ins. Long term appointments will start the week of September 2nd.
- For all new Teaching majors! Future Teacher Welcome is for all new teaching majors on Wednesday, August 27 @3:30-4:30pm OR Thursday, August 28 @3:30-4:30 in McCollum Science Hall, room 137!
- Attendance is required (a class or practice during these times takes priority - virtual option will be available upon request).

- FULL Semester: Last day to Add course without Departmental approval (4:30pm)
- First Half-Semester: Last day to Add course for credit. Approved Academic Student Request required after this date (4:30pm)
- First Half-Semester: Last day to Drop course with No Report (4:30pm)
- First Half-Semester: Last day to Change course to or from Audit (4:30pm)
- NOTE: Students are reminded that only one change per course may be made to or from a non-graded basis. Once a change has been made the student cannot again change that course to or from non-graded credit. Please complete the online form to request this change.
Undergraduate International Students - Full Time Status/Reduced Course Load
- Undergraduate international students must enroll in at least 12 credit hours to maintain full-time status, with a minimum of 9 credit hours taken in person.
- An Immigration Hold is placed on the semester registration for all international students to prevent unauthorized course withdrawal/maintain eligible status.
- For approval for under enrollment for any reason in advance, or requests for additional information or questions, contact Edyta Cichon, Immigration & Advising Coordinator, Office of International Engagement (edyta.cichon@uni.edu). Link to Authorization Chart.
Study Abroad: Welcome Week Bites & Flights
- Wednesday, August 27 | 11 AM – 1 PM | The Learning Center @ Rod Library | Study Abroad Fall 2025 Events Handout (pdf file)
- Join us for food and conversation with past study abroad students and staff. A great way for students to explore program options and get inspired.
- Please help us spread the word to students and feel free to attend any of these events yourself! With questions contact: study-abroad@uni.edu
Student Questioning their Current Major?
- Help them Pivot with Purpose by referring them to the Office of Academic Advising. Advisors offer personalized support to help students explore:
- Major, minor, and certificate options | Reasons for changing majors (e.g., lack of interest, career goals, academic challenges) | Self-assessments like FOCUS 2 or Strong Inventory | Goal-setting and decision-making strategies
Encourage students to schedule an appointment or complete the Academic Discuss Your Major Options Request Form.
