- This course is designed to support incoming and current student veterans in achieving academic success by:
- Helping them transition from military to academic and personal goals
- Building on their existing experience while providing practical tools, strategies, and critical thinking skills for academic achievement
- Creating opportunities to connect with peers, faculty, and campus resources within a supportive academic community
- 12:30 TTH | Class#:54515 | Henry Korf & Chiquita Loveless
- If a new or current UNI student identifies themselves as a veteran or military student, please use the "Class Overrides-Class Permission" approval in SIS to provide instructor consent to enroll the student.
- With questions as well as for additional information or assistance, contact Henry Korf (henry.korf@uni.edu), Coordinator, Military & Veteran Student Services
- Ascendium Repayment Support for Former Students
- The Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships is partnering with Ascendium Education Solutions to assist former students with loan repayment. Student loan repayment success is dependent upon students understanding their responsibility, repayment options, and how to implement an affordable plan.
- Because there are numerous fraudsters taking advantage of vulnerable people, we want to make sure our students know that we have hired Ascendium and their Repayment Support team to help. Key to the program’s success is letting students know:
- Ascendium can help them navigate student loan repayment.
- Ascendium has trustworthy experts that won’t take advantage of them.
- There’s no cost to them should they utilize Ascendium’s help.
- If you encounter a student from UNI with student loan repayment concerns, please suggest they contact the Ascendium Student Loan Success Center™ at (833) 707-1220 Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. CT.
