Sustainability Courses Fall 2025
- UNI offers two (2) Sustainability options:
- University-wide Certificate @ 15-17 hours | University-wide Minor @ 21-24 hours
- Both options are based on the same classes and work to provide students opportunities to explore how Sustainability may be applied to their majors and life’s work.
- These two resources may be helpful to students as they consider and plan for registering for Fall 2025 classes:

Planning Ahead: Winter Term FAM SERV 1020 Study Abroad
- Students can consider and start planning ahead for a faculty-led program in Santiago, Chile during the Winter Term
- Bill Henninger and Nathan Taylor will be leading this study abroad opportunity for the course FAM SERV 1020 Family Relationships from January 4 - 17, 2026.
- Students will explore a range of identities, communities, cultures and conceptions of the human condition. This course seeks to understand contemporary families and their dynamics as they exist in their cultural context and how they change to normative and non-
normative challenges:- Visit local family service organizations
- Explore community health initiatives
- Cruise around coastal towns by boat
- Walk the canyons of the andes mountains.
