Spring 2023 Academic Standing Information & Reminders 4/11/23
From Nicole Lehman in the Office of the Registrar...
Good Afternoon!
As the last day to drop with a W for full-semester courses draws near (today, Tuesday, April 11, 2023 by 4:30 p.m.), here is important academic standing information for the conclusion of the Spring 2023 semester.
Timeline: Grades for Spring 2023 are due on May 17 at 1:00pm. Academic Standing will be processed as soon as possible but please allow 3-4 business days before it is complete and all students have been notified. Academic Suspensions should be completed by the end of the day on Friday, May 19.
New this year: Students suspended at the end of Spring 2023 that are enrolled in Fall 2023 will receive the suspension communications and have the service indicator placed on their account. However, their Fall 2023 courses will not be dropped until the first meeting of CARR (Committee on Admission, Readmission, and Retention). Any students that have not applied for an early return by then or that are denied by the committee will have their Fall 2023 courses dropped.
Summer Reminder: As a reminder, students enrolled in summer courses that are placed on academic suspension, will be dropped from all of their summer courses, regardless of the course start date. If the course has begun, they will receive a full refund and a grade of "No Report" automatically and no further action is needed.
If you have any questions, please reach out to Megan Perry (megan.perry@uni.edu), Assistant Registrar, who oversees Academic Standing.
Thank you!
